The Cardrona Bra Fence

I think I would like to go here.

Who invented the bra?

A French woman named Herminie Cadolle was the "genius" behind the cups and straps. Cadolle came up with the concept in 1889, originally dubbing it the "corselet gorge." Her creation premiered at the Great Exposition in Paris and was a smash with the ladies, propelling the budding entrepreneur into a life-long career in lingerie.

The first modern brassiere to receive a patent was the one invented in 1913 by a New York socialite named Mary Phelps Jacob. Mary Phelps Jacob had just purchased a sheer evening gown for one of her social events. At that time, the only acceptable undergarment was a corset stiffened with whaleback bones. Mary found that the whalebones poked out visible around the plunging neckline and under the sheer fabric. Two silk handkerchiefs and some pink ribbon later, Mary had designed an alternative to the corset. The corset's reign was starting to topple.
I hate the bra.

My Mouth

What is it about my mouth. How is it I can say the most wrong thing at the most right time!

So I am sitting at my desk minding my own business, in walks this man. He is wearing a suit, which is not uncomon in a hospital and talking to everyone like we are best friends. I am talking on the phone to a Physician about a critically ill patient and listening to a position report from my helicopter. He walks up to my desk and says, very loudly because of all the radio traffic, "why are ya'll sitting in the dark?" Instead of saying, The overhead lights cause a glare on the 4 computer screens we each have and the 52 inch monitor we use for tracking our helicopter. I, in my infinite wisdom say, " We keep the lights off so peope will not come in here and bother us." To which he replied, "oh" and turned around and walked out. When I am off the phone I ask one of the ladies that work next door to us who he was. They reply he is the CEO of our hospital. Real nice!

Welcome to MY back porch!

I love my back porch! I can sit for hours and read, drink coffee or wine. I love watching the kids play in the back yard. I love the ambiance of it, every thing hung there has been collected by me and has an meaning, it is either sentimental or just something I like. Mostly everything there makes me feel comfortable.

Easter

I got my new camera, on my anniversary, and I love it! I was taking pictures at church and it was so cool! I was down in the front, on stage, and moving around in the auditorium. It felt like I was invisible yet I was right there in the middle of it all.

I took some pictures of the girls. I am pretty proud of them :)
